“… nothing so liberalizes a man and expands the kindly instincts that nature put in him as travel and contact with many kinds of people.” (Mark Twain)
I love to travel, mostly because of the way it opens my mind up to new ideas and possibilities and it forces me to meet people whose lives are vastly different than one I have lived. Every interaction I have had, whether that’s in my own country or abroad, has enriched me. I also am fond of history and culture, which travel allows me to explore with gusto.
The photos here represent for me wonderful moments, when I encountered places, ideas, and experiences that enriched me and gave me insight into this amazing adventure we call life. Some are from the United States, in places I have called home. Others are in places that profoundly changed me, such as Auschwitz.
You can see photos of the countries and places I have visited on my photo website.
